Amazingly Fat Presets

Poison-202 comes with over 400 killer presets ready to use in your tracks, including famous sounds easily recognizable from your favorite electronic music: The Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, Daft Punk, Snap, Depeche Mode, Darude, ATB, Azzido Da Bass, Kraftwerk and others.

True Super Saw Emulation

The synth features exceptional SuperSaw emulation with oscillator detune and mix controls. The SuperSaw consists of 7 sawtooth waves, detuned, mixed and filtered in a very special way. First used in the legendary Roland JP-8000 synthesizer, it allows you to create rich sounds like hoovers and analog strings quickly and easily.

Rich Modulation Options

There's nothing like PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) - the Poison-202 makes it possible, as well as Oscillator Hard Sync Modulation, Ring Modulation and Cross Frequency Modulation! The latter type of modulation sounds similar to VPM modulation, first sound in famous Korg Prophecy synthesizer. Each sound also has two LFO Modulators per patch, so you can route and affect the signal in combination!

Set up oscillator parameters

Select the oscillator pitch and tune, with a choice of 5 Waveforms available (Saw, Pulse, Sine, Triangle and SuperSaw). Open the pitch envelope for tuned sweeps and falls by adjusting the attack and decay, on its own dedicated envelope.

Poison-202 allows you to set up a TVF (Time-Variant Filter) for each oscillator with parameters such as Cutoff, Resonance, Envelope Depth, Keyboard Tracking, ADSR and Filter Type including Lowpass, Bandpass, Hipass, Peaking and Notch.

Tune in the TVA (Time-Variant Amplifier) for each oscillator with a standard ADSR envelope and route it to the modulation (Ring, Sync, Cross Modulation) or alter the mix balance between oscillator 1 and 2!

Modulate and colorize

Poison-202 features two LFO Modulators per patch. Select each LFO type from 6 available (Triangle, Sine, Saw, Square, Trapezoid and Random) and adjust its frequency and fade-in slope. Send the LFO to Pitch, the Filter or the Amplifier, and Cross-modulate the LFO frequency for some serious filth!

Get big bad bass by mixing the Sub Oscillator into your patch - with a choice of pitch octaves. Add White Noise to your patch too for some lofi shimmer.

Add depth and breadth to your patch with 7 realtime effects: Distortion (with Foldback type option), Bit-Crusher, Chorus, Flanger, Delay, Panning-Delay and Reverb.

Configure general patch parameters

Select either Parallel or Serial signal routing structure for a different sonic palette. In Parallel mode, the oscillators behave independently from each other. In Serial mode, oscillators are mixed into one channel, with both filters applied, resulting in the sound volume being shaped through TVA 1 Envelope.

From the Patch page you can also set up common patch parameters, like Monophonic play mode (Solo), Legato, Portamento, Pitch Bend Range (up to 24 semitones) and Patch Gain.

Ajdust how Note Velocity affects the sound using three parameters: Filter, Amp and XMod. This will allow notes to be played more expressively, altering the filter cutoff, the volume or adjusting the depth of Cross Modulation - depending on how you play.

The Modulation Wheel can send to 6 parameters resulting in some emphatic sound design changes! Route it to LFO 1 & 2 Depth, Filter 1 & 2 Cutoff, Cross Modulation Depth and Oscillator 2 Pitch (useful when using Sync modulation) are all available to modulate!

A 3-Band EQ is included for Low, Mid and High frequency ranges - you can also turn on/off built-in Master Limiter and change the overall Volume from this page.

System requirements:

Poison-202 for iOS is both a Standalone App, and an Audio Unit Extension (AUv3) plugin for host apps like Cubasis, Garage Band, AUM, ModStep and others. Poison-202 can also be used as Inter-App Audio (IAA) instrument for audio and midi data exchange between two apps.

Plug in your favorite MIDI Keyboard to your iPad using Apple's Lightning to USB Camera Adapter and turn Poison-202 into a realtime synthesizer module!

Poison-202 for iOS is compatible with iOS 9.0 and higher. Optimal recommended devices: iPhone 5S and iPad Air. Minimal supported devices: iPhone 4S and iPad 2. To use Poison as Audio Unit you will need iPad (iPad Air, iPad Mini 2 and up) or iPhone (5s and up) with iOS 9 or higher.
